Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actress and singer. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer at an early stage. In 1992, she went to her first audition, and was able to win a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency before she turned 13; she then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. In the same year, she also began classes in acting. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music as well as the drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell studied in musical theater at the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell was a graduate in 2001, resigned her university studies to perform the role Becky on Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang however, the scene where she made an appearance was cut. This meant that there is only a credit sequence. Bell made an appearance on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
